Lisk was created to give more individuals access to the Blockchain environment. With Lisk, developers receive a fairer share of both income and tension, in stark contrast to many of the big, successful centralized platforms run by Apple and Google.

Lisk is easier for developers to use because it allows apps to be developed in the most popular language available—JavaScript

Lisk coin (LSK) is the currency of Lisk, as you might expect, in its use mainly for DApps on the Lisk main chain. In contrast to other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, it isn’t one that can be spent. You can’t use Lisk coin to pay for things, you can use it if you’re a developer who wants to use the platform.

Creating Lisk

Crypti was the forerunner of Lisk, and it’s an open-source blockchain app platform that didn’t manage to achieve what its creators set out to. A hard fork in Crypti came about in 2016, and product of that action was the Lisk that we now know. There are around 40 people on the Lisk Team, all working hard to bring blotchy technology closer to everyone.

Advantages of Lisk

Lisk’s interesting decision to focus on the Javascript language has given a greater number of developers the impetus to make use of its decentralized application development. It allows them to use sidechains and gives them a complete Software Development Kit (SDK) so they can produce applications and additional blockchains within the main Lisk platform.

Sidechains are separate blockchains that are connected to the main one. Nothing that’s done on them will negatively impact how well the main one runs. This means that the apps are genuinely decentralized and autonomous even while running in Lisk.
